Time to start the Christmas Fundraiser
Trading Gold (GC) in the evenings
Trading in the evenings can be fun. Everything moves a little slower, allowing me to test strategies and, hopefully, make a little money. I call my evening trading my Christmas fund and Lunch Money. Gold is always the Christmas fund. MNQ is the lunch money.
This week (1/26-30) is my first strategy trading week of the year. Backtesting from 12/29/24 through 01/24/25, I’m getting a Total Net Profit of $8,018.18 and a Gross Loss of $1,718.24, with 61 trades. It averages 3.4 trades a day. It has a Profit Factor of 5.66, and the Percentage Profitable is 96.72%.
The Cumulative and Net results look promising. The one red middle finger it’s throwing at me can be minimized simply by monitoring the trades. I am a strategy trader, but I monitor the trades constantly.
I’m using a DTB Bar chart of 2 DTB 5. I have a Daily Target of $2,500 and a Daily Stop at $1,500.00. The strategy runs from 1835 to 2200 hours with a 2359 cutoff of all open trades.
Here is the review of all the strategy settings in Ninja Trader.
I use the DTB system from DTB Traders. Check them out and get a couple of free indicator combos that will rock your trading. They also have a Discord group of like-minded traders you can join. I hope to see you there.
