Midnight Rider - An update for the week!
It runs Monday through Thursday mornings 0100 - 0600 EST (-5UTC).
It was an excellent week for the DTB Baseline Wick Trader strategy (BWT), which I optimized for my Midnight Rider strategy. There are weeks when I’ll have at least one down day. This week, I only ran it Tuesday through Thursday. Today I start optimizing for next week.
Tuesday 10/7 - $375.80
Wednesday 10/8 - $394.30
Thursday 10/9 - $ 446.24
The trades aren’t spaced far apart, with the average hold time under two minutes. I’ve tried increasing the number of ticks for Take Profit. Any increase reduces the success of the strategy considerably. I’ve moved the Stop Loss as close as possible without reducing the success rate. Before this optimization, my Stop Loss was 250 ticks. It was quite a hit on a loss, so I spent considerable time optimizing this strategy to minimize its impact as far as possible, yet keep the Profit Factor and Percent Profitable high.
I look forward to running this next week with an updated optimization. I will try to have some of my other strategies back online. Computer time has become an issue due to the time I spend on the strategies.
